New Church Calling

It's been a crazy last few weeks. We got a new bishopric a few months ago, and since then every organizations is being reorganized. I have been in the primary presidency and we have been practicing for the sacrament meeting program. So the day of our practice (which was a little stressful, the president was gone, 4 teachers were not there, the junior primary had REALLY HAD IT!), anyway I was looking forward to getting home and taking a good nap... when I was called into the bishops office... not good when you know they are reorganizing everything... yes you guessed it... I was asked to be the new relief society president. Let me just say... I have never been a president. I can be a great counselor... ask me to do anything and I will do the best I can. But I have never been the one to make the big decisions! My stress level did NOT go down, but I have now been sustained and have some great counselors and secretary. Everyone seems to think I will do a great job... I am not so sure, but I will do my best. My 4th daughter is engaged, so we are trying to pull together the wedding and reception. Put that together with the holidays around the corner and life seems crazy... but amist it all, I am so blest! I have great kids... super hubby... friends that are so supportive and fun to be around.

Wow, Laura! I'm excited you're blogging! And RS president! That's crazy cool. That is SOOO a calling I would be happy to go my entire life without! Good luck!
